A Porsche transformed into a motorhome seems unlikely to you? And yet, the Stuttgart firm did not want to miss this new growing trend of leisure vehicles. Indeed, Porsche had already set foot in this universe by offering the rental of a Porsche Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo or 911 Carrera 4S, equipped with a roof tent.

Today, adventure is within reach of all its customers. Indeed, Porsche Tequipment, the program of official original Porsche accessories, has just unveiled a roof top tentwhich allows you to transform your German sports car into a « motorhome » for nature getaways.

The Porsche roof tent takes the form of a hardtop roof box, which was imagined at Porsche’s German Research & Development Center in Weissach, and co-designed by the FA Porsche Studio in Zell am See, Austria. The system, which weighs approximately 56 kg, can be installed on the roof of Porsche 911, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera as well as Taycanwith or without roof rails.

The Porsche roof tent offers real double room with view, with two side windows and a roof window. The closed roof tent measures 146 cm long by 140 cm wide, all over 33 cm high. When deployed, it measures 258 cm long by 257 cm wide and 118 cm high, and is accessible with a ladder.
