Hunting for the perfect gift for dad this Father’s Day? Zero in on some of our favorite hunting gifts this season.

This year, give dad a gift that will take him further afield and closer to his next harvest. These gift ideas are sure to put a smile on his face and inspire more memories.

They’ve passed the GearJunkie test, whether for superior quality, affordability, or usability. You can’t go wrong.

Made for everyday and tactical use, equip the dad in your life with a Benchmade 535GRY-1 Bugout knife. Benchmade is known for its knives, and we’ve tested several of them. This plain-edge knife has an S30V stainless steel blade and features a manual AXIS locking mechanism.

The brand notes that it’s secure and subtle enough to be carried anywhere without drawing attention to itself. It fits in a pocket with a deep-carry pocket clip, and it has an oversized lanyard hole on the handle.

You can also personalize this knife on Benchmade’s website for an additional cost!

Ain’t no one got time for cold hands. And hands are pretty darned necessary. We love that this particular hand warmer not only keeps hands toasty for up to 8 hours but is also a power bank for your phone.

Its rechargeability makes it the perfect companion for hunting, backpacking, skiing, outdoor events, and camping alike. If you’re feeling generous, buy two and keep both hands warm. Our team loves the OCOOPA Pocket Hand Warmer and even chose it as one of the best hand warmers of the year.

For a lightweight, quiet midlayer, check out the First Lite Origin Hoody. This hoodie is made with 37.5 fleece lining and First Lite’s HeiQ Pure material with temperature-regulating properties that also resist odors, according to the brand.

It has a shooter’s cut that allows for movement whether it’s holding the bow or rifle. This hoodie includes an integrated face mask, thumb loops, a kangaroo pocket, and chest pockets. It comes in six different colors to blend in wherever dad finds himself.

For warmer days, or for layering under the First Lite Hoody, get him the First Lite Wick Crew. The crew shirt is made of Aerowool, which combines merino wool and nylon fibers to help regulate body temperature and dry quickly.

For the dad who wants a tactical boot, check out the 5.11 EXPRT 3.0 Waterproof boot. This athletic boot has a polishable, full-grain waterproof leather outer and Vibram Ananasi outsole with Vibram Megagrip underfoot for traction.

Inside, you’ll find an OrthoLite footbed for long days on foot and eVent waterproof lining to keep dad’s feet dry all around.

These boots come in black and a brownish shade called Dark Coyote.

The onX Hunt app provides valuable information to hunters for over 985 million acres of public land and more than 121 million private properties. Outdoor enthusiasts are able to use their mobile phones as a GPS, track their movements, and delve through different topo maps with layers for hunting, fishing, and more.

With the recent launch of onX Hunt‘s 3D Basemap for iOS, planning and scouting have become even more immersive. This has been the go-to for one of our staff for more than 5 years of hunting, camping, and traveling. Buy dad the gift of a single state or the Elite 50-State Membership. Both are good for a year.

See and be seen in the field with the BioLite 750 Headlamp. With the power of 750 lumens, a rear light on the battery pack, and eight lighting modes, this headlamp should benefit dad on his next hunting trip.

The BioLite 750 sits flush against the forehead, ensuring it won’t bounce up and down while trekking through the woods in the early morning.

This headlamp will offer 150 hours of low light, 7 hours on high, and 8 hours of reserve. You can also purchase the BioLite Charge 80 PD power bank to keep the headlamp charged while wearing it. The cable-management clip is designed to keep everything close to the body so it doesn’t interrupt movement.

Give the hunter in your life confidence in the field with the Maven RF.1 Rangefinder. We gave this rangefinder top honors in our review of the best rangefinders on the market. It’s effective from 5 to 4,500 yards and features a field/forest function that allows the user to switch back and forth depending on their environment.

Set it in “field mode” to find the range of smaller targets while ignoring the background. On the other hand, “forest mode” allows you to range objects behind things like trees and bushes. Maven says the RF.1 Rangefinder is a fit for archery hunters, rifle hunters, and long-range hunters and shooters.

This rangefinder is water-resistant and has five reticle and five brightness options. It can also be used with a tripod in the field.

Looking for a unique gift for dad? Check out Uinta Knife Company and its line of hunting knives, including the Hunter V2. What started as a hobby for a knifemaker in Minnesota turned into a full-time business in 2018.

The Hunter V2 is a 7-inch knife with a 3-inch cutting edge. It’s made with 0.112-inch-thick 52100 high-carbon steel that has been hardened to 61 HRc. It has a Cerakote finish on the blade, G10 handle scales, and comes with a molded sheath.

Not quite convinced? Take a peek at our glowing review of the Hunter V2.

If dad does a lot of backcountry hunting, check out the Stone Glacier R3 5900. This pack can be fully customized from the frame up using past and current Stone Glacier bags and frames.

Because they’re so interchangeable, this allows dad to choose which gear he carries based on the hunt. Stone Glacier also has made it a staple to have a load shelf, allowing him to pack gear or meat between the bag and the frame.

This model in particular is considered by the brand to bring a new level of load-hauling capacity to the R3 platform. It has a 96L main bag and a 150-plus-pound load rating. It’s hydration-compatible, comes with belt attachments, and has one-inch Duraflex military-approved buckles and webbing.

If the dad in your life already has an R3 frame from Stone Glacier, simply select the “bag only w/ R3 conceal lid” option for the 5900 model.

For the dad who spends time in the field, meet the Stone Glacier Cirque Jacket. Made with hunting in mind, this jacket manages temperature and moisture through its 133gsm PrimaLoft insulation, 15-denier Pertex Face Fabric, and a ventilation zipper under each armpit.

The brand says it strategically placed the hand pockets for optimal use while wearing a pack, and there are two internal pockets to stow a phone, keys, etc. during a hunt.

The jacket has an articulated hood, elbows, and sleeves, plus a form-fitting stretch cuff at the wrist. The waist has an elastic hem which allows for custom fit and extra draft protection on windy days. The Cirque Jacket comes in Granite Gray and Muskeg colors and can be layered for additional warmth.

Surprise the dad in your life by upgrading his bowhunting blind. Maneuverability, keeping quiet, and concealment are high priorities when it comes to bowhunting. The Browning Envy Hunting Blind checks those boxes.

The door system uses magnets and a ground skirt plus a window system built with SILENT-TRAC for stealth. Multiple window positions and a “shoot-thru” mesh allow dad to move around inside the blind without giving notice to the creatures outside.

The blind measures 6’10” tall at the center, making it an option to stand and shoot. It has two camera mount ports, gear pockets for storage, brush loops for extra concealment, and an included bow hanger.

If you’re looking for something a little smaller, check out the Browning Eclipse with the same magnetic door system.

What’s worse than a mosquito buzzing in dad’s ear as he sets his eyes on his biggest shot yet? Insects are not only an annoyance, they can also carry diseases.

Sitka’s Equinox Collection of hunting clothes is designed to tackle Mother Nature in the field or forest. The brand says the scent-free Insect Shield, the Equinox Guard Hoody, Pant, and Glove repel mosquitoes, ticks, ants, chiggers, and midges.

Beyond repelling insects, the material is made to be tight-knit enough to help prevent bites, especially when worn under socks. Each piece in the collection comes in a variation of hunting styles to blend in with the surroundings while pursuing big game, whitetail, and waterfowl.

Benchmade worked with renowned hunter Steven Rinella to create this knife. Check out the Meatcrafter as a hybrid hunting fixed blade made for trimming, deboning, or slicing your meat of choice.

The Meatcrafter uses SelectEdge technology, meaning the CPM-154 stainless steel blade has a 28-degree edge angle and provides a balance of blade flex and edge sharpness. The handle is made of Santoprene, which provides grip even when wet. Dad can use it in the field, at camp, or in the kitchen.

And if you want or are able to drop some more cash on dad, there’s always the Benchmade Meatcrafter 15500OR-2. This version has its differences, and a major one is its better-quality steel — CPM S45VN. We raved about the Meatcrafter 15500-1, now unavailable, in a full review when it was released; it also uses CPM S45VN.

For a place to land after a daunting day in the field, check out the White Duck 16′ Regatta Bell Tent. It’s made from 8.5-ounce Army Duck Cotton Canvas that has a water-repellent, mold- and UV-resistant finish. This tent can hold six people while camping (sleeping bags and mats) or three people while glamping.

It’s built in more of a yurt style allowing for more comfortability to stand and move around than a regular tent, yet it can be set up in 15 minutes according to the brand. This particular model has three windows and three roof vents for added comfort on the warm days, a sewn-in PE groundsheet, and bug mesh on doors and windows to discourage critters.

This 16′ Regatta Bell Tent even has a pre-installed heat-resistant silicone-coated stove jack. Plus, it features a shock-absorbing grounding system for when the weather changes without warning. There is even an electrical cable outlet for charging devices.

The Regatta Bell Tent comes in a variety of different colors, fabrics, and sizes. You can choose from the water repellent or water and fire repellent fabric in brown, beige, and olive and each tent comes with a carry case, poles, floor, and toolkit.
