A whopping 940 horsepower is promised by Thundertruck.

Some electric vehicles completely break away from the norms of vehicle design. One company that exemplifies this principle is Tesla, which, with the introduction of the Cybertruck, sparked a radical new design direction for electric pickup trucks. Recently, a brand-new electric truck concept known as the Thundertruck has been unveiled by the design agency Wolfgang.

That being said, the Tesla Cybertruck has met its match in the form of the Thundertruck, a forward-thinking electric pickup truck that appears to be armed and ready to do battle with its rival. It was designed from the platform up and outfitted with cutting-edge technology, allowing it to adapt to any terrain. Let's take a closer look at the Thundertruck and see if it can hold its own against the Cybertruck.

It's difficult to escape drawing comparisons between the Thundertruck and the Tesla Cybertruck, especially given their similar rugged external designs. Although sharing certain characteristics with the Cybertruck, the new Thundertruck stands apart thanks to a number of benefits.

Extreme torque, control, and performance are all part of the Thundertruck's package, as are sophisticated driver aid technologies for maximum safety. In addition, it is both efficient and environmentally friendly. The body is very geometric, with sharp lines instead of curves, just like the Cybertruck.

The modular architecture of the Thundertruck, which allows it to be altered from a 4x4 to a 6x6 configuration, is one of its more intriguing characteristics. It weighs a whopping 6,120 lbs and measures 80 inches in height, 207 inches in length, and 87 inches in width. The 4x4 variant features a six-foot bed, 800 horsepower, and 800 lb-ft of torque. With a 180 kWh battery, the vehicle's 4x4 layout is said to have a 400-mile driving range.

It can pull up to 7,500 lbs in that configuration, and its dual motors can propel it from a stop to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. A ride height of 14.5 inches, an approach angle of 48 degrees, and a departure angle of 82.5 degrees make it ideal for both on-and off-road driving.

The electric vehicle converts into a 6x6 configuration with a stated electric driving range of 560 miles and a battery capacity of 300 kWh once the range extender and second axle are installed. The curb weight increases to 7,560 lbs as a result. Still, the truck retains its original dimensions. 940 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque may be achieved when the range extender is used.

With the same 14.5-inch ground clearance, 48-degree approach angle, and 82-degree departure angle as before, the vehicle can now tow 11,000 lbs. The extra axle and range extender hardware have self-balancing technology that makes coupling and uncoupling simple. The range extender also functions as a transportable battery pack.

In terms of aesthetics, there are a few other aspects worth mentioning. The "Bat Wing" solar awnings on the vehicle's roof open to collect sunlight and transform it into solar power to charge the battery. They are meant to be deployed when the electric car is off-grid for a prolonged period in order to keep it operational. Awnings also shield the driver and passengers from the sun, ensuring comfort.

On top of that, Thundertruck's roof rack system includes pods that may be used to store the solar awnings on the roof. The cargo bed is equipped with stairs for convenient access and extensible ramps for storing motorbikes. To make it even easier to get in and out of the truck's bed, the bed has automated sidesteps that lower.

The truck is meant for off-grid use, which is why it features an attached camping tent that extends over the truck's primary tray. A pullout side drawer that may be outfitted with a slide-out kitchen or a refrigerator is another fascinating feature. A military-grade drone meant to fly ahead of the truck and provide the driver with a view of the area is also included in Thundertruck.

Inside, the gloomy vibe persists. One of the most outlandish features on the inside is a holographic information display. Additionally, an entirely digital dash can be seen. The interior is simple overall, with many surfaces and edges. Sadly, no one knows how far the vehicle is from manufacturing or if it will ever be put into production. The Thundertruck's price is also unknown, although we wouldn't expect it to be cheap. Complete with all the available options, this truck is probably worth at least six figures.
