Fancy an adventure in a chunky pick-up truck kitted out with everything, including the kitchen sink?

Japan's Isuzu has the answer — with a special expedition-ready version of its new D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35, which I spotted at this week's Commercial Vehicle Show at Birmingham's NEC.

Ready for action: It includes a rooftop tent, fridge, three-burner gas stove, 12-litre collapsible sink, luggage space, safe storage for a gas bottle, water and fuel containers

Created by Isuzu's UK team and codenamed Basecamp, it is based around the standard AT35 which went on sale this month from £47,999.

It includes: a rooftop tent, fridge, three-burner gas stove, 12-litre collapsible sink, luggage space, safe storage for a gas bottle, water and fuel containers.

With 4x4 drive, towing capabilities of 3.5 tonnes, and a maximum payload of 1,161kg, it rides on 17-inch black Arctic Trucks alloy wheels fitted with 35-inch LT315/70 R17 mud-terrain tyres.
