If you’re a fan of the great outdoors, this is one of the best travel sales of the year — especially with summer holidays just around the corner.

With hints of spring well and truly here (even though some of us are in the thick of a lockdown) – now is the perfect time to start dreaming about an outdoors escape — especially over the busy summer holidays.

With interstate travel not back in full action for some time, and holiday homes booking up faster than you can blink, most holidays will be taking place in our own state and territory again this year.

To get you in the right gear for your next holiday, discount supermarket Aldi is about to launch the perfect swag for those looking for a great night sleep without having to share an entire tent.

Aldi’s Special Buys on Saturday, August 28, will drop the $129 swag which comes with a 5cm thick mattress.

With a heavy duty ripstop canvas, the swag is durable even for summer storms and rain, and also has durable reinforced vinyl floor and lightweight poles making it easy to move around and carry.

The swag, which looks similar to the $200 Kings version, is just one aspect of the retailer’s budget sale.

Another nifty tent that’s caught our eye is the $70 ‘Gazebo Hub’ which is essentially a small tent, with an oversized front door onto your own covered balcony.

The hub has power cord entry points, heat sealed taped seams, insect resistant mesh and two internal storage pockets.

The camping gear will hit Aldi supermarkets on Saturday August 28, but you better get in quick as there will be limited stock available.

Forget Broken Hill, Ballarat and even Byron Bay – because this underrated town has just won Australia’s best in a national vote.

Hidden on the top floor of one of Queensland’s most luxurious hotels, a suite awaits that has a cheeky little black box perfect for couples busting out of lockdown.

For the first time in 60 years, a trail that cover 402 kilometres and passes through 9 districts, 28 local governments and 400 historic and cultural sites will reopen.
